I am using Finale 25.2.0.92 in Windows 10 Home Version 1607 Build 14393.693

I'm trying to use the "Jazz Band (Handwritten)" template dated 12/1/2016.  This template puts 18 systems on a page in landscape orientation.  The default set up is 31 total measures with 19 appearing on page 1 and the remainder on page 2.  When I attempt to either add measures or lock the layout with 8 measures per system, pages 1 and 2 remain in landscape orientation, but subsequent pages appear in portrait with data outside the print range.  Is it me or the template?  Either way, what can I do to stay in landscape orientation beyond measure 31?
Thanks, Frank

It's the template. Its page orientation, system size, and margins are all seriously messed up.

Here are some (convoluted) steps to remedy the situation.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such a detailed answer.  I'll give it a try.

A faster way:

Make all the changes in the dialog box Page Format for Score.

You will not get any immediate change in the layout.

To update with the new settings, use

Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages…

Finale uses the settings in Page Format for Score to create new pages/systems.

Since the settings in Page Format for Score now have been updated by you, all new systems/pages will automatically have the correct formatting.
