I have a Lenovo laptop running on Windows 10, 8GB RAM, and NVIDIA graphics card and installed Finale 25 onto it. The installation process wasn't a problem. But when I clicked on the Finale icon on my desktop for the first time, all that happened was finale opened and a box popped up asking about my midi settings so I just clicked "ok." After clicking ok nothing happens. The Finale logo is still in the center and I can't even click on "file" or anything from the top menu. My laptop just says Finale is not responding.

I don't know what to to do. I even uninstalled Finale and installed it again but the second time I opened everything using WinRar to unzip everything properly. I had no luck once again. I don't know what to do. Please help! I spent a lot of money on this program!

Thank you!

Hi Sogol,

At first glance, it sounds like you may be running into a conflict with an audio device or printing device installed on your computer. I would recommend starting out with this knowledge base article: Finale hangs when launched (Windows).

If the information in there does not help resolve the issue or you have questions about details surrounding the issue, I would suggest contacting our Customer Success team directly using the Submit a request link above for further assistance.

I hope this information helps!

Is your installation 64 bit? 25 will not run on Win 10 in 32bit mode.

I didn't know Win 10 even had a 32-bit version. (I now see it does. Live and learn.)
