Windows platform, Upgrading from Finale 2014.5 to v25. I click on the .exe file and it seems to install, but it won't run. If I try to open a .musx file, it opens a Finale window, then the green rectangular logo smaller window comes up, and it freezes. It finally times out and says the program is not responding.
25 does not overwrite 2014.5. Look in your applications folder and you should see both. The icons will appear to be nearly identical. Finale 25 will be called simply Finale.
Once you find it, you can make a shortcut to where you normally put these.
If the installer worked, Chrome shouldn't be the culprit but, if you don't see two applications, download again using a different browser.
