HELLO FINALE COMMUNITY,

Ok, no more yelling.

DEVICES and SOFTWARE:

Finale 2014.5, and Trial of Finale 25, a fast system (Samsung Laptop, w/i7 processor, solid state 500g hard drive, Windows 10 64-bit), Yamaha YPG-535 Keyboard, and Yamaha Pedals (FC5 and FC4A)

We Updated ALL drivers... Yamaha Windows 10, 64 bit, midi driver; any Finale updates, and any Samsung updates.

We even learned that the YPG535 pedals will reverse polarity if plugged in and out while the keyboard is on, requiring a power on and off of the keyboard. This fixes this reversal  of polarity. :)

FINALLY, FINALE issue: When we go into Hyperscribe and click Tap... Listen (if listen doesn't detect just restart finale or keyboards) ... Listen detects... click on the Hyperscribe quick tool... click on the measure to "Hyperscribe"... Start the quarter note tapping of the pedal... No matter how hard we try, and yes we have clicked "avoid unwanted rests", the are UNWANTED RESTS in front of, and sometimes in back of a quarter note or eighth note...

PLEASE Community, help! Ok to scream the word please... right?

THANK  YOU!

First: I can not help you with your problem, sorry. Second: I have used Finale more or less every day for 22 years. About once a year I try HyperScribe, and the result is the same: "No, this is not for me." I step-input (with speedy entry) much faster and easier, and there is hardly any adjustments needed after input. Maybe someone who is more familiar with HyperScribe will chime in?
