Hello I'd like to know if it is possible to combine 2 measures into one without losing notes from one of the measures.  The specific example: arranging a Bach keyboard prelude for guitar.  I was able to change the bass piano clef into treble, but I could not combine these two treble clefs into one.  I had to take the original piano treble clef and write in the notes from the bass converted to treble clef by hand.  I am using finale printmusic 2014 for windows 8.

Combining measures (horizontally, like measure 1 and measure 2) or combining staves (vertically, like upper staff and lower staff)?

You call it “combining measures”, but I suspect that you mean “combining staves”.

Combining staves is - in “Finale-speak” - called imploding.

Make a search in the online manual.
