Right now I have PrintMusic 2004 and PrintMusic 2007 on my antique PC and I'd like to update to a version of Finale with Garritan.  I also have a somewhat newer computer, a 4-year-old Macintosh laptop with an old operating system: 6.8.  I'll be upgrading my operating system to Mac OS X 10.9.5, which is the most recent operating system compatible with my computer.  The newest version of Finale requires at least 10.10.  Is there an older version of Finale that includes Garritan and works with the operating system 10.9.5, and if so, can I buy it from you?

This is a question for MakeMusic Sales. It is best asked through the Submit a request link at the top of the page.

Here are the system requirements for Finale 2014:

MACINTOSH®: OS X 10.7 - 10.9, Intel Core 2 Duo or better, Intel i3 and
above recommended. 700MB hard drive space required for software and user manual.

WINDOWS® and MACINTOSH®: Internet connection for download install or DVD-ROM drive for DVD install. 800x600 minimum monitor resolution (1024x768 or higher recommended). Minimum 2GB RAM, 4GB or above recommended. An additional 2GB hard drive space is required for all included VST/AU sounds.

OPTIONAL: MIDI interface. MIDI input and/or playback device. Printer. Scanner. Microphone required for use of MicNotator®. A soundcard (including Standard DirectSound, MME, or ASIO drivers) is required for playing VST sounds in Windows.

2014.5 was a free update that extended 2014 compatibility to include OS 10.10 and 10.11 (and 10.12 with a few issues).

That makes no sense. A four year old Mac shipped with OS 10.9 or 10.10 depending on the month. The last year that a Mac shipped with 10.6 was 2011. Those, like Macs made in 2010 are all compatible with the current Mac OS.
