This is just a nit...

If I open Digital Performer 9.13, then click on a .musx file to open Finale, Finale doesn't recognize Rewire, that is, I don't get the "refresh" button on the Playback Controls.

 

However, if I quit (completely close) Finale and again click on the same .musx file, this (second) time, Finale recognizes Rewire, and I get the "refresh" button on the Playback Controls.

 

Note that this only happens if I open Finale by clicking on a .musx file, and only once. If I open Finale by starting the application and selecting  a recent file, Finale recognizes Rewire as expected.

 

Finale v25.3.0.276

 

Macbook Pro 15 inch mid-2014

 

OSX Sierra 10.12.5

OK... what do you see in Console each time? Something will be different between the first and second tries. Console should be able to identify if this is a DP, 25 or RW issue. From your description it could be any of the three or even something else if some old code is trying to load unsuccessfully.

Thanks Mike. Per Murphy's Law, this problem never occurs when I want to test it. I'll have to wait until the next time this happens.
