I am using Finale Musicmaker 2014 for Windows on my computer & would like to be able to access my music & work on it on my iPad. Do I have to buy another program. Or can I download the one I already purchased?
If you have a registered copy and the program is still available to you, you should be able to check for it in the My Account section on the http://finalemusic.com web site. If the program is still available, you should be able to download it from there.
If not, you can always use the "Submit a request" link at the top of this screen to contact MM Support directly.
A couple of things:
a) What is Finale Musicmaker 2014?
b) The only mention I can find for Finale iOS is this. Was it ever released?

SmartScore for iOS

and SmartMusic for iOS

Anyway, as far as I know, there is no version of Finale for the iPad. I'd be most happy to be wrong.
Notion from PreSonus isn't bad and can export MusicXML that can be imported into Finale through DropBox and iTunes etc. $15 with in-app purchases that you don't need if you plan to export your ideas to Finale.

I've had it since the beginning and it works ok. Even though I have a 12.9" iPad Pro, I use it as a sketchpad only and export the results as ..xml.
Before Notion for iOS got good, I bought Notion 6 ($79.95 cross-grade if you own Finale). I used it as a translator between Notion.app and Finale. It's not really necessary anymore.
