How can I copy a page (exact duplicate) in Finale 2014 in a single step?
It's a layout issue in the same Finale document where it'd be far easier to just duplicate the page and make minor changes than it would be to copy it by other means and then have to adjust it again. In other words, is there a simple way to copy all parameters of a page and end up with a consecutive page that's an exact duplicate?
Let me get this straight:
In this example let us say that you are trying to copy the layout on Page 3 to Page 4, so that Page 4 looks identical to Page 3 (except for the page number!) - right?
I do not know of a way to “copy a page layout” in a single step, sorry.
Without knowing the exact document you are working on, I am “shooting in the dark”, but here are some thoughts:
I would use the Page Layout Tool to Insert Staff Systems after Page 3 (look in the Page Layout menu).
If there are, e. g. 3 systems on Page 3, I would insert 3 systems after Page 3.
Each inserted system should contain as many measures as the corresponding system on Page 3.
To force the inserted systems to begin a new page it may be necessary to insert a Page Break (Page Layout menu).
Next, I would edit the system margins for the first inserted system so that they are identical to the system margins in the first system on Page 3.
Similar with the second inserted system -> the second system on Page 3.
Similar with the third inserted system -> the third system on Page 3.
Next, I would lock each inserted system.
Finally I would copy the music on Page 3 to the new Page 4.
