There is a menu item for the launch window which I rarely need.  Is there a way to have the launch window not appear on startup?

Jim,

In your Finale Preferences>New there is a dropdown menu for Startup Action.

 

 

Please add your Finale version and OS to your signature!

Jim,

 

MM strongly discourages posting your e-mail address or other personal or account info in your thread entries as it weakens their--and your--security on the site.

 

I suggest you remove your e-mail address from your initial post by using the "Post options" pull-down to edit the text.
