Thanks for the input, EB. I wonder if that's a Windows thing? I just opened an orchestral template with 25 instruments on my Mac, and the mixer showed them all. No arrows.

Karl, ate you referring to the Mixer, which shows you all of the instruments, with sliders to control the volume, or the Playback window? Are you on a Mac or Windows?p

You would double-click on a file to open it. Or, open Finale, File > Open… and navigate to your file on Finder.
