I'm reasonably sure we used to be able to apply slash notation to partial measures in earlier versions of Finale, same as rhythmic notation (which will also copy with whatever has been done to the measure). Rhythmic notation will still apply to partial measures in 25, but not slashes. You can work around it by going back and clearing the staff style for the beat(s) in the measure you don't want, but if you copy that measure you get all slashes again and have to go thru the whole staff style clear procedure again. Seems odd that the slash and rhythmic notation should behave differently like this.. is it a bug? Anyone who works with a lot of rhythm charts like I do must surely find this a drag. Unless I'm missing something: any thoughts?

No problem found in the Windows version. I find it hard to believe that it won't work in Mac.

EDIT: Just tried it on a Mac; it works fine there too.

Works perfectly as always for me.

The only bugs I've seen are slurs getting hidden in the rest of the measure if you start the measure with a slash or rhythmic staff style, and of course articulations getting moved to BELOW the staff (grr!)

Reboot your computer. Whenever Finale starts acting up, this is a sign. Preferences might be an issue as well.

Yeah, I guess I was over-reacting ☺. This behavior seems to be file-specific, I've figured out after some trial & error, and happens with some files that have been created with older versions of Finale and opened in 25. Thanks for your input.
