 I'm running v25 on Windows 7. All of a sudden today when entering lyrics, no text shows up. I open the lyrics window option, check the font, it's automatically selected on finale lyrics font, but no letters show up on the font display. Every time I try to change the font, as soon as I press OK it changes back to finale lyrics and I can't see any text. On my other computer where I'm running Windows 10, this is not a problem. This only started happening today and I've restarted the program and computer multiple times. Any help would be appreciated.

Where did you change the font?

 

- Perhaps in

Document menu > Document Options - Fonts

?

 

- Or in the Lyrics window?

Before you begin entering lyrics, try changing the font in

Document menu > Document Options - Fonts

 

Could not hurt to try it.

Let me get this straight:

 

Before entering any lyrics you change the lyrics font in the Document Options.

Still, when you enter lyrics, it changes back to the Finale Lyrics font, right?

 

You also change the font in the Lyrics window, and as soon you click OK, it changes back to the Finale Lyrics font, right?

In that case I suspect some sort of file corruption.

 

1) As a test, try the same in another document, e. g. a new, fresh empty “Document Without Libraries”.

If everything works in another document, then you know that the problem is document specific, not program specific.

 

2) To get rid of the corruption you may have to copy the music into a new document.

 

A common solution - when anything else fails:

Export as MusicXML, and import the MusicXML file into a new, empty document.
