Hello,

I am using the latest version of Finale on a PC and have a brand new HP WF-7610 large format printer.

When I create something I use the default paper size (81/2 x 11). When finished I always export to a PDF file and than print from the PDF. With my old printer Canon i9100) it was very easy to select the output size to print and everything was great.

I want to print on 13 x 19 in book style, 1st page on left of paper, 2nd page on right of paper. I've burned up a lot of ink & paper trying to get it to work but no good. Should I change the default size of the page in Finale before I even begin? Is this maybe a PDF print issue or maybe a printer settings issue. I don't know where to start and I'm hoping someone out there may have the answer.

You guys have been great in the past. Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can give me.

Marty

There should be a 2-up setting in the printer dialogue, although I can't tell you where.

Please add the program and version you are using to your signature, in the user control panel.

Ok. Thanks, I'll try that.

PC Windows 7, Finale 25.4.1.152

I have Smartscore something or other. Never used it, never could figure it out. I AM very computer challenged in some things.

SmartScore is a scanning program. Nothing to do with printing. But VERY helpful, once you learn to use it! (That's the full SmartScore, not the lite version that used to come with Finale!)

Also, I just found out that Adobe Reader can print in booklet format. You might look at that, as well.

Thanks Mike. Your suggestion of using 2-up was part of the solution. I had to change the paper size default on the printer. In the PDF print dialog box I had to unselect paper source size from PDF doc.Under properties I had to change doc. size to super B, multi page to 2-up & orientation to booklet.

I know I tried all these things at one time or another. I guess I just never got the correct combination .

Thanks again for your help.

Hi Marty,

I know this post is 2 years old , however, I too am using a Epson wide format printer (WF 7620 )  Windows 10 and Finale V 26

I am printing on 12 x 18 2 up and I get fairy close results.  The printer does not allow me to select 12 x 18 as a paper size ...it will let me select super B 13 x 19  .

Are you still using the Epson Wf 7610

Any suggestions for settings ?

Thanks ,

Sal
