1) How can I enter info like SOLO, mp and POCO RALL, in my arrangement and have it display for all staves?

a. If you use an expression from an expression category with a Score List, then you can edit the Score List, and control, in what staves the expressions should appear, both in the score and in the parts.

If none of the already existing categories fulfills your needs, consider setting up a new category.

If none of the already existing Score Lists fulfills your needs, consider setting up a new Score List.

b. If you use an expression from an expression category without a Score List, use the Staff Assignment dialog box.

2) Can I enter chords on the top piano staff without having them play during playback?

If you do not want any chord symbols in any staves in the entire document to play back, then disable chord playback (in the Chord menu).

3) How can I include the count off in my audio file output?

Two ideas:

a. Add the count off in a hidden layer.

b. Use third party software like e. g. Audacity to “monitor”, and record the Finale playback to an audio file.
