System:  Finale 25 for Mac

Project: 1 staff layout with chords above

The song has chords above the staff.  The song is a total of 12 staves with 8 staves on the first page and 4 staves on the second page.

I need to increase the staff spacing to make room for lyrics.  I would like to increase the spacing which will force the lower 1 or 2 staves on page 1 to move to page 2.  And of course I would want the staff spacing on both pages to be the same.

I would greatly appreciate any and all assistance.

Now I am talking “Finale-speak”:

 

Since this document is a 1-staff document, you need to respace systems, rather than staves.

 

1) In the Page Layout Tool, in the Page Layout menu, there is a command for spacing systems evenly.

 

2) Also, there is a plug-in:

Plug-ins menu > Scoring and Arranging > Space Systems…

 

3) You can also respace a range of systems, via the dialog box Edit System Margins.
