Ive had this problem a couple of times:

1.) I bring a lead sheet or score from F8 into F14, do some additional work. Score looks fine.

2.) Extract parts, and for those parts already existing in the F8 file, whole section from the score are simply missing. The final measure numbers on the part matches that on the score, so at least that aspect made it through the extract.

2a.) Those parts added in the F14 score (but not in the F8) are fine.

In the past, I've simply copied the mission measures from the score and pasted them into the part. But this is no longer fun.

Am I missing anything?

TIA!

My guess is that the missing measures are “hidden” inside a multimeasure rest.

Fix:

Select All.

(Re-)create Multimeasure Rests.

Thanks, Peter. That would have been my first guess. It was the Forum search's suggestion, and I even tried it before posting.

I did stumble on the answer, a quick click through "Scroll View" and back. Apparently there was some vestige of F2008 file which bolluxed up F14's rendering of the extracted parts in Page View. It just needed a quick look at Scroll View and measures 57-92 were restored.

But I'm still experiencing a "D.C al Coda" (from the Repeat Menu), which keeps disappearing after subsequent steps. Even when the next step is a Print-to-.pdf. This doesn't happen with files originating in F14

William Ballard,

Just a shot in the dark:

I would check the Staff List for the text repeat “D.C. al Coda”.

Hi all

This bug is still around in Finale 26.2.2

Flipping to scroll view and back still fixes the problem (after selecting everithing).
