 Win 7  64 bit  --will add my software version after i get back on line..Finale is locked up right now and have to close down to see desktop.

When I launch my new install of Finale 25 USB it hangs on the splash screen after the IMIDI SCREEN.  i tried unpluging the midi cable from my keyboard.  It made no difference.  From bowing the forum a bit I see others have similar problems.  I think I will try uninstalling ASIO 4 ALL and see if that is the problem.  Someone else   said it seemed it might be related to audio drivers.  Yes i have NVIDIA, BUT THE ONBOARD CHIP IS DISABLED, due to using Sound Blaster RX.

Hello to anyone reading this,  So I tried removing ASIO4ALL and then re-launching Finale. It worked!!  So it looks like the others were correct in suspecting audio drivers conflicting with finale.  

 

MUCH appreciation for the posts.  Very  helpful.  By the way, I am sorry to have to report that i too was disappointed inthe tech help response.  At least compared to how it was last time (last year) I contacted tech support for help on changing ove from xp to Win 7.  They wer very fast and very good before.  BUt I did not got a reonse except for noting they had a ticked open on it... I will cancel that now.

This is a user board. I'm certain that a number of us read it. You appeared to have a better handle on this than I — turns out that was correct. Glad you got it working.
