Finale 25.4.0.155

Mac OSX 10.12.5

I am trying to write exercises where during playback I only have the metronome sounding on specific beats, for example say beats 2 and 4. So I write the exercise for 2 instruments - guitar and clave, where clave will be the metronome. Its no problem to have the clave play quarter notes on beats 2 and 4 the issue is the volume. I just can't get it loud enough even setting the dynamics for the clave to ffff once the music starts the aria player cuts the volume no matter what I do. I have to think that many teachers have created exercises like this in finale and that there is a way to do it so that the substitute metronome sound(clave)  is loud enough. If you have done this or have any ideas as to how best to do this please let me know.

Thanks

Chris

Adjust the volume in the Finale Mixer (Windows Menu) rather than in the Aria mixer.

The Aria mixer respond to the ups and downs of dynamics in your score. The Finale mixer sets a threshold volume (which can also be set numerically via an added column in the Score Manager.
