Windows 10. Finale 25.4.1.152

Periodically the articulation and expression tools stop working. I close Finale and re-open and the problem is not resolved. If I click on the tool where I want to insert an articulation, I get only one articulation. It is stuck on one articulation (#17). It will not give me the full menu. I can change it using an arrow symbol but it just goes right back to #17. Very frustrating. I've used Finale for many years but I am frustrated by how many bugs plague this software. It seems every new version has new and different bugs.

This sounds like the “stuck key” issue.

 

One of the keys on the computer keyboard is stuck, namely the key which is the metatool trigger key for articulation #17.

 

The key can be physically stuck, or “electronically” stuck.

 

To fix a physically stuck key, try tapping the key repeatedly.

 

To fix an “electronically” stuck key, reboot the computer.
