 Hi

I would like to make the "leg" of the note, (I don't know how to call it...) a bit longer. I have an F#3, (small octave) in F clef, it's leg gets only to the second line of the staff, (where B is written), and I need it to get lower. How would you do it?

Thanks a lot!

Amit

(I'm sorry I have previously placed it in under the wrong topic)

If I understand you correctly, you need to adjust the stem length of only one single note, not adjust all stem lengths in the entire document, right?

And the note is not a beamed note, right?

To do so:

Make sure that the active layer is the layer with the note stem you need to adjust.

Special Tools Tool - sub-tool Stem Length Tool.

Click the measure, and handles will appear on all notes in the active layer.

You can click a handle, and adjust it up/down with the arrow keys.

Thanks, Peter. Actually I meant to take the beam a little lower, but I didn't know the English words for that. But with your help I found the Beam angle tool, and have solved it. Thanks.

By the way: do you know how can I perform a range check for a staff, so that finale would tell me some how what is the higher and lower note? I'm going abroad, but I'll see your answer when I'm back.

Thanks again!!!

Ab,

I see you have started a new thread for your range-check question. A good idea.

Please do not ask the same question in two locations.

(You can use the cogwheel pull-down at the bottom right of your post to edit out the redundant info.)
