 ...for an entire piece?

I mean from bars like 5/8, 4/8, 3/8...

going to 5/4, 4/4, 3/4... with a single command? a plugin?

You can get Jari's plugins at http://www.finaletips.nu/index.php/download 

 

Make sure to go to the page with the 64-bit plugin. Download the plugins you want, and install them in the plugins folder, then restart Finale.

 

Although Jari's plugins are free, he does accept (and deserve!) donations.
