I don't do ANYTHING in MIDI. Can I still do everything I usually do and still change the tempo? My inputs are all manual. I play everything through VST.

I know many people with VERY old versions of Finale .They will NEVER upgrade because you keep changing the operation, removing functions, and making versions incompatible with any version other the previous version. People don't want to have to tweek all their old work to make it work with the newest version. If you could just let us use multiple versions without having to block the other version EACH time, that may help a ton.

You also don't tell us what the Version 25 is compatible with.

Your company sabotages its very own sales efforts !! And has been doing this for YEARS!  With no way to change the tempo I will NEVER upgrade and just learn to live with the bugs in my version. My bkgd is in Sales, Programming, and Software Quality Control - a total of almost 40 years.. This is no way to produce a software product.

Mike, I upgraded from 14 to 14.5. To use one of them it has to look like it is the only Finale program. It makes me disable the other one. I can use both, but have to disable the one to use the other. That is NOT what I am looking for. It's a pain to bounce back and forth between the 2 versions. (Fortunately, I don't need to. they are compatible). But still this is the way it works on Windows. The hard drive has NOTHING to do with it.

Yes, I can do what you showed me - and thank you, BUT is this REALLY better than the tempo button?

Thank you for the system link. It tells me about version 25 and compatibility.

I have no idea what you are wanting to argue about nor am I interested in such a discussion. I posted a link to how tempo is done now. Even though I have access to working 32 bit versions of Finale, I have moved on to learning what I need to know about 25.
