I wonder how many of you have erroneously hit the print option and ended up with reams of paper when you wanted a single part printing. Is it just me?

I would like to know if there is a way or a setting that I can edit to make the default page to be printed either the current page or even no page to force me to stop and think before hitting the print key.

I know I should take time before hitting the print key but I have already had that discussion with my brain and it gave me the bird so if your comment involves that line of advice thanks, but no thanks.

However if you can help or if the programmers could change the flag to suit bird brains like me (see what I did there) that would be immensily fantastic!!!

Oh and the hearing of transposed parts in simple entry in concert pitch is brilliant... thank you very much Finale 25.

I have never had that problem so I don't know what you are doing.

 

Please update your user profile. I may remember that you are on a Mac but there's no indication otherwise. Print is one of those issues where the platform and OS do make a difference. Don't make anyone guess.

 I actually Joined in 2004 but I don't know how to transfer my membership years of loyalty from the other make music forum

So I have done it again where I forget to click on current and now have a load of score pages that I don't need! 

I set the option to current and saved as current, however when I do it for the next staff or even open the original staff the print option reverts to score, Is there a way I can set this to current without going through this selection overtime? The presets don't have any affect.

SIMPLY TO SAY I HAVE DONE IT AGAIN! My Pile of paper grows by the day.

I know its no-ones fault but mine, but really... why would the print option when I hit command P whilst looking at a part NOT the score default to printing the score this is so annoying...

rant over,

my feature request is for the default print choice be the part I am looking at unless I choose otherwise,

please, please,please,please,please,please,please,please,please,please,

I went on the feature request forum and searched for default printing and it showed this thread, I hadn't noticed that the search had gone outside the feature request forum!

I will re-submit it there... thanks for commenting otherwise I wouldn't have Reaised!

When 25 came out and we could still call in, my call was a basic "what the...?" on this very issue since the Help files hadn't been properly updated either.

 

Though I now know how to do it and the documentation is improved, it's just not right that we can't default to the way we want to print.
