Windows 10 64bit - finale 2014

I'm writing to inquire about the Chinese traditional notation which in mandarin is called "Jian Pu" and in English I believe "numbered notation."

To compose for traditional Chinese instruments, one must write numbers instead of 5-line staff notation. My coworker said that Finale has the ability to do this, and I would truly appreciate some insight into how to make this possible.

Many thanks

perhaps a plugin I need to download? the ideal situation would be to transform 5-line staff notation into numbered notation!!

I found this. It looks like a numerical solfege. I don't think there is a way to convert the notes to numbers. But there might be a way to use the numeric font for figured bass, to make it happen.

Here you can find an example of how numbered notation (numeral notation?) can be achieved in Finale.

It uses an Indonesian approach (I was told) which also includes 8th/16th note beams. The ottava signs are dots - as in your example.

The top staff is used to enter the notes, then it is copy&pasted to the bottom staff where the numbers appear.

It still is incomplete, just use it to get some ideas...
