How do I customize tableture? I am writing for a tenor ukulele. It is tune exactly like a soprano, except the fourth string is tuned an octave lower than on a soprano. There is not a preset tab for that tuning on the tableture menu. I have also had this challenge writing for guitar tunings not on the tableture menu. Windows 10. Finale 14.5
ScoreManager > Instrument List
In the Instrument List, select the TAB staff.
Notation Style: Tablature - click the button “Settings…” to go to the Fretboard Instrument Definition.
In the pop up menu you can see the instruments that are already available.
You can create a new by duplicating an existing instrument, and editing the duplicate - or by clicking “New”.
The string tuning is indicated with Pitch numbers in MIDI code (i. e. chromatic half steps).
To lower a string by an octave, subtract 12 half steps from the Pitch number.
