The direction of the broken beams is correct in 6/8 but incorrect when written as triplets in simple meter. This has been a problem in Finale since forever. I know it can be corrected with the Broken Beam tool, but is it perhaps time to fix this?

When you have corrected one 2/4 measure (using the Broken Beam Tool), you can copy that measure to the other measures, then use the Repitch Tool to correct the pitches.

By The Way:

It would be nice if the Copy Filter, in the pane Special Alterations, had an option for copying {Broken Beam Direction}.

It would be even nicer if the beams were correct to being with!

This problem also exists in voiced linked parts, EVEN IF the score and master part are correct. I've just run into this in 26 with a doc created in 25. The score and master part broken beams are correct, but the voiced linked part has the stubs backwards. Of course, since it's a voiced linked part, nothing can fix it.

I was able to do this by writing the notes in 6/8 time and use the Time Signature Tool to display the notes in 2/4 time.

But your 2/4 measure now has too many beats. You left the triplets out.
