… I Cant See letter Keyboard shortcuts in the articulation tool dialog …

By your words “articulation tool dialog” you mean the Articulation Selection - right?

The articulation metatools are document specific, not program specific.

If the metatools are not there, then you will have to program them.

In this example let us say that you want to program the letter S key as metatool trigger for the staccato articulation:

Articulation Tool.

Hold down Shift, and hit the letter S key. The Articulation Selection appears.

Highlight the staccato articulation (and click the button Select).

From now on you can add staccato by holding down the letter S key, and dragging across the staff.

… cant click on a note with the corresponding keyboard shortcut and have it add the articulation it doesnt work …

In this case you must be in another Finale document, with ready made articulation metatools.

Instead of {holding down the letter S key and clicking}, try {holding down the letter S key and dragging}.

I am working from a template I originally made in Print music....I guess thats why it doesnt have the meta tools

One other question...Isnt there a key command to enter articulations while you are in simple entry mode?

and THANKS SO MUCH

Indeed there is.

Windows Finale or Mac Finale?

I recommend that you go through the tutorial document
