Win10, Finale 27.3

One of my monitors recently went bad so now I'm working on one screen. I have to split the windows, finale on top and pdf file on bottom. So now when using the speedy entry tool, the preview doesn't show the entry changes or input. Did I do something wrong or is it a bug?

Do you have the Finale window clicked so that it is the Active one?

Yes, the window should be active if the speedy entry box is active, right? The lower window isn't active, only a reference. And by putting my window halfway, it messed my tool bar positions but I think that's common. It would be nice if the positions stayed as a global program save, but maybe it is and something else messed it up.

Because in the same working session my drum font only was messed up too and had a hard time just replacing the noteheads. I don't know if it was related but my rhythm group section beginning bar line disappeared too. I couldn't figure out how to fix it so just for now I made another group bar line to look like the normal bar line.

I did find a finale suggestion to reinstall the Finale fonts but there so many steps that I'd be afraid of really messing things up.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Daniel,

I doubt it is a font problem. However it isn't too big of a task to reinstall them.  I often use two windows open or even more. Finale and Chrome and perhaps Adobe at the same time for instance. I don't split the screen but just switch back and forth. I don't have any issues doing it that way. Finale does not like it when you shrink its window for sure.
