I'm running the latest Version 27 (newly downloaded) version of Finale on Windows 10 Pro. I'm finding the contrast and legibility of the preselected icons and color scheme very difficult to read. I've tried to correct the problem using both the Finale settings and the Windows 10 Pro Settings / Display / Personalization controls. I even tried Windows' "high contrast color" controls. Nothing is changing within the Finale program's display, with the exception of enlarging or shrinking the icons. Even after enlargement the contrast within the icons is quite poor. My monitor works fine with every other program/app I use, so I know it is not a hardware issue. Neither does it seem to be a Windows issue for the same reason: Everything else works well at the moment.
I've been a Finale user since Version 3.0, purchased for my personal use in 1995, and I have recollection of subsequent updated versions allowing for user adjustments to the themes and appearance, fonts, et al. Am I missing something, or is the newer version immutable in this regard? I'm finding my ability to work slowed and am quite frustrated by this turn of events. If these can't be adjusted now, that certainly would be a large step backwards in terms of user friendliness and preferences. Will be thankful to receive suggestions.
