I have suddenly started receiving the error message "Cannot read library file..."

This happens with both my custom libraries and those that come with Finale 26 (latest versIon of Finale and Win 10)

This occurs when I have an open score and I  go to "File, Load Library"

I have tried reinstalling Finale, deleting the contents of the temp directory and also resetting all preferences.  nothing helped. 

What can I do?

What kind of  "library file..." ?

The kind of library you create when you go to "File, Save library".  It is essentially saving preferences for various categories within Finale.

They are stored by default here:

C:\Users\{USER_NAME}\AppData\Roaming\MakeMusic\Finale 26\Libraries
