Running Songwriter 2012 on Windows 10, Playback has no sound and no moving measure marker. When I stop, a measure number appears as if Playback was proceeding. Speaker volume is up, and speaker tests normally. This happened once before, and I reinstalled Finale with good results. Unsuccessful this time.
If you type No Playback into the Search window upper right, you'll get
I recommend clicking through the threads and see if anything makes sense. Many are about Windows 10.
It can probably be made to work but there are too many variables in Win10 for any of us to have a clue based on what you have posted so far.
