When I export a file as an audio I get some very strange effects in the exported WAV file that are not heard in the Finale playback. Some notes are suddenly short, other sections are suddenly very soft and there is some skipping with the rhythm. The audio files are therefore totally unusable.

I have read up on the forums and tried raising the buffer settings, unplugging my keyboard and also deleting all MIDI information from the original file. Nothing works, yet.

I am using Finale 26, Windows 10 and Smartmusic SoftSynth.

Many thanks if anybody has any ideas as to how to solve this problem.

Try it without human playback, and see if that makes a difference.

Glad I could help. But if you need human playback for a more realistic sound, I don’t know what else to suggest.

No need to suggest anything. The sound is fine (guitar, SmartSnynth) and the rubatos are all programmed in with the Expression tool. I'm not sure if Human Playback has any advantages. Certainly not that I can see at the moment. THANKS AGAIN !
