I have Garritan in my program files but Finale doesn't know it's there. Finale only offers me SoftSynth instruments/sounds.

I tried reinstalling Garritan but it said that that I already had it installed, and when I choose to continue anyway the installation process "jammed" (I had to restart the computer) so it looks like the Garritan folder is in the correct place.

I have Finale 26, in Windows 10.

Any help will be much appreciated

Hi what version of Aria are you running? Finale 26 only supports I think 64bit plug ins.

Also I found this on Finale form I'm not sure if you tried it yet. But if Haven't hope it works.

1. Open Finale (if it is not open already).
2. Choose MIDI/Audio > Device Setup > Manage VST Plug-in Directories.
3. In the VST Plug-in Directories dialog box click the Add button.
4. Expand the Computer (Windows 7) or This PC (Windows 8 & 10) section.
5.Expand the C:\ drive.
6. Expand the Program Files section.
7. Expand the Common Files section.
8. Expand the VST2 section.
9. Click the Garritan folder once so it is selected.
10. Click the OK button.
11. Click Close.
12. Restart Finale to see if the issue has been rectified.

Thanks Marcus!

I actually found a solution by totally reinstalling Finale, Garritan and Aria Player. I posted that solution, but to the Finale forum because that is where I had most of my replies to my question. And I forgot about my Garritan forum posting.

Sorry about that, but thanks again for your kind help!!
