Windows 10, Finale 26.3.1

Finale will get into this mode where any sound I try and play comes out as static. It also affects YouTube, Windows Media Player or any other sound I try to play on my computer. Some comments on the forum suggest that this problem crops up if the buffer size is too small; I tried increasing the buffer size and that had no effect. Only re-booting the computer solves the problem.

When I load finale, I do get a popup that says "ASIOforall", which I had installed to try and use Jamulus (which didn't work, unfortunately).. Could that be causing some kind of cross-talk? 

Any help is appreciated, this is getting really annoying.
