Hi, so I bought a version of GPO years ago and am now resurrecting some old Cubase projects but on the latest version of Cubase on Windows 10. The problem is that I can't use / register GPO on my new laptop. The original registration was through Native Instruments as it used the Kontakt player. However Makemusic have said they can't help:

"Native Instruments retained responsibility for the existing customers of these products and their licenses, as well as the physical assets for these products"

And Native Instruments cannot help:

"The statement of Make Music is wrong and they have misinformed you...Now the issue is that these Garritan Plugins are really old products that used our Kontakt 2 player. Kontakt 2 is discontinued since years and cannot be reactivated."

So is my version of GPO basically redundant then ? Thanks in advance.

Hi not sure if you tried this or seen this post but I found it on the native instrument forums. Hope it helps

GPO and Kontakt 5? | NI Community Forum (native-instruments.com)

hellogoodbye "Yes! Worked like a charm! The original GPO cd's has an installer which lets you install the library only. So (I'll type it all out for future use  ) I used the old GPD serial that I received with the cd's, installed the library only, and then I opened NI Service Center: it showed my old serial and told me it was a wrong one (I knew that), so I entered the serial I received when I downloaded and installed the KP3 update. GPO was activated, I started Sonar 8.5, loaded KP5 and GPO was there immediately, without having to search for it! Awesome."

Your best option is to see if MM will offer you an upgrade price to GPO5. (Which itself is 5 years old, and showing no signs of being updated.)
