I would like to keep the sharps in the key signature, but Finale keeps putting it in flats.

Hi, William!

Bring up the ScoreManager/Instrument List and choose the part in question.

The transposition drop-down to your bottom right should say (Bb) Up M2, Add 2Sharps.

Open this dropdown and choose Other...

Uncheck Simplify Key and press OK

Thanks Martin, I'm an idiot! After I asked I realized what I needed to do. Been using Finale since the 1990's and sometimes find it hard to see the forest for all the trees... ;-) Thanks for a quick reply!

No, problem!

I too have been in this forest for more than two decades now, but I seemed to remember having seen this option sometime.

I have to admit I had to look for a while to to find it again, though...
