I have Windows 10 Pro, Version 1909.  

I've used Finale Songwriter extensively, but I'm now using the Finale v26.3 free trial with intention to purchase.

I'm trying to use hyperscribe, but when I select the hyperscribe tool and click in a measure, there is no response...no click...no input from keyboard.

My own troubleshooting steps:  1. I have checked that audio is working.  2. I can use simple entry from my midi keyboard, so the keyboard is connected.  3. I've gone through the tutorial a few times to ensure that every step has been completed for hyperscribe settings.  

What else can I try?

Have you heeded the advice to either Incorporate MIDI Data in your Human Playback settings or set HP to None?

I just tried Hyperscribe on my machine (although I am a terribly sloppy player and never actually use it myself) and I heard the click and was able to put the notes onto the staff (sloppily, I admit).

Double checked that. Yes, Human playback is set to none. Still no click...??
