I'm on Mac Catalina and Finale version 26.3.1.643. Suddenly, when I select a region to transpose down an octave and hit number 8, it goes down 10 octaves. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
10 octaves! That is quite a lot!
The transposition metatools can be customized by the user.
As a first step I would try to program the Octave Down metatool:
Hold down ⇧⌘, and hit the number 8 key.
Finale displays the dialog box Transposition where you can define your transposition metatool.
Choose your transposition, and click OK.
