My finale 2014(maybe 17?) has the piano score above the vocal score. How do I switch that? It seems to do it randomly so I'm thinking I'm selecting something I don't want in the setup. I can't find it in the user guide, though it's probably there. I just can't see it. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum!

 

To give you the best possible help we need a little more info from you:

1) Windows or Mac OS? - what version?

2) What version of Finale?

 

Your words “… It seems to do it randomly …” are unclear to me:

- Are you comparing different Finale documents (where some documents have the piano score above the vocal score)?

- Or are you comparing different regions in the very same Finale document?

If the piano staves are above the vocal staves, you should drag the piano below the vocals in the Score Manager.

 

If that's not the problem, then you definitely do what Peter has asked and provide more specifics.

Or click the Staff tool, then in the staff menu, select re-order staves.
