I received the score where the time signature had been changed from 3/1 to 3/2 and then some notes from that part of the score were moved to a margin. Now I want to move them in a proper position. I tried to update the layout and rechange the time signature but nothing works. 

Have you any idea how to fix it? Thank you in advance for your help:)

The score was prepared in Finale 2012 and I work on Finale 26.3.1.

What about Apply Music Spacing?

Did you try that?

 

Also, take a good look at the settings in

Perferences - Edit

- especially the pane Automatic Settings.

Unfortunately, nothing has changed after using Apply Music Spacing option and modification of settings in Preferences - Edit.

In that case I suspect that there is something wrong with the durations in each measure (= overfilled measures):

Selection Tool.

Select the entire region.

Plug-ins menu > Note, Beam, and Rest Editing > Check Region for Durations…

Can you  post an image of what you are seeing? You may have overloaded measures and need to rebar (on a copy of the file, for safety).
