Is there a way to change the default horizontal position of noteheads? The reason being is that Finale does not centre semibreve noteheads, I think the notehead is aligned to the stem alignment not the centre (in which case there is no stem for a semibreve). It is only noticeable if I have a chord or multi voicing where there are crotchets etc above/below the semibreve. I manually change the semibreve position by about -0.025 to shift the semibreve to align with the centre of the noteheads above/under. Sure it's fussy but I think pre-computer notation that was standard.

Not enough info.

-0,025 of what units?

Please take a look in

Edit menu > Measurement Units

What units are selected?

Inches perhaps?

To me the {Maestro font Whole Note position} looks centered at about -1pt (= about -0.014i).

You do not mention the horizontal positioning of Double Whole Notes ?!?

By The Way:

Do you know Jari Williamson’s plug-in JW Change?

JW Change is the answer to moving all noteheads at once (in lieu of changing the default horizontal note position). Thank you. Your other questions weren't relevant, sorry if I wasn't clear but you did answer my question!
