I'm using Mac Monterey 12.7.1 and Finale 27.3

When I use change instruments , Finale has decided to put in a double barline at the change; e.g. changing from bass clarinet back to clarinet 2 in B flat. I've been using change intr. in the same score for percussion changes and flute doubling piccolo, with no problems. Any ideas why it is suddenly a problem? I've tried using the measure tool to change it back to normal barline, but doesn't do a thing!

You call this a ‘bug’.

Which means that it is program specific.

But have you checked whether this happens in other documents?

If it only happens in some documents, then it is document specific (not program specific).

Anyway, open the problematic Finale document, and take a look in

Document menu > Document Options - Barlines

Is the option

Double Barline Before Key Changes

selected or de-selected?

Many thanks, de-selecting double barline before key changes has cured the problem. I’m not using key-signatures, so shouldn’t be a problem.
I’ll have a look to see whether it happens in other documents.
