Win 10. I installed the 27.4 update, but had to use system restore to go back to 27.3 due to the pdf-issues in 27.4. After using system restore, the JW Plugins is missing from the Plugins menu, and from the C:\Program Files\MakeMusic\Finale\27\Plug-ins folder. Any suggestions?

Alternatively: Can anyone with Windows make a zip-file of the JW Plugins folder in C:\Program Files\MakeMusic\Finale\27\Plug-ins and email me?

I doubt those are the updated 27.3 JW plugins. MM did some updating of some popular JW plugins when they were introduced  and included in Finale 27.3

Fredrik,

I use doPDF and it works as expected with 27.4 making PDF's. It does ask you twice where you want to save the PDF but otherwise it works. I understand the CutePDF has issues but I don't use it. You might give doPDF a try as it may solve your issues. These are PDF printer utilities and install just like any printer.

I find I can save a PDF with my PDF Print program, but it will not open.

Well all I can say is doPF woks just like it did in 27.3 except for the asking me where to save it twice. It opens with Adobe Reader as before. You might try it, it is free.

ERNEST BIGGS Adobe Acrobat is the industry standard for PDF's. I'm not interested in other solutions.

Fredrik,

I see the two apps as totally different. doPDF is a print utility which makes any document into a PDF. Acrobat should open that PDF output and let you do whatever you need. Just thought this was a way a solution to get you going.

ERNEST BIGGS A pdf isn't just a pdf. The printer driver you use can make a huge difference. The Adobe Acrobat printer driver has lots of settings that are not available in most other pdf printer utilities.
