is it possible in an existing file to "import" the default metatools (for using the ones that are in Finale User manual...) and get rid of my old self programmed metatools?

Help please

thanks

The metatools in the Selection Tool are program specific (not document specific).

Other metatools, like e. g. expression metatools, are document specific (not program specific).

… in an existing file …

This sounds like you are talking about document specific metatools - right?

Do you have the full version of TG Tools ?

Since you do have the full version of TG Tools, look under the "Modify > Transfer" menu.

Quoting the manual:

Modify-Transfer
This plug-in enables you to transfer (copy & paste) things that Finale can‘t normally copy itself. Most of these items are intended for copying from one file to another. The process involves these steps:
• place checkmarks next to the items that you want to transfer
• go into the source file. If needed, select a measure region. Make sure ‘Read now
(=copy) is checked, and hit Go.
• now go to the destination file. If applicable, make your measure selection there.
Make sure ‘Write now’ (=paste) is checked, and hit Go.
You can write (paste) multiple times without having to read (copy) the data each time. Just
make sure ‘Write now’ remains checked (uncheck ‘Automatically switch …’).

Yes.

I do not know whether there is a newer manual.

You could ask Tobias Giesen about it.

I am confident that Tobias would like to get feedback about TG Tools.
