Hi, I am using a Mac Pro (late 2013) and OSX 10.10.5.  I did a clean install of all latest versions of Aria Player, GPO 5, and JABB 3.  However:

Every time I launch Aria Player it says it can't find GPO 4.  But I did not install GPO 4. It then asks if I want to uninstall that instrument, so I say Yes, which allows Aria to launch. But when I shut down and relaunch again, it shows the same GPO 4 message.  Why is this happening?  How can I get rid of that message for good?

Another strange thing is that when I installed GPO 5, it installed the files on my System drive under the System Library/Application Support/Garritan folder.  This makes sense.  However, when I installed JABB 3, it installed it under Applications.  This seems wrong, as it is a sound library, not an application.  Only Aria should be there.  If I move the JABB 3 folder to where the GPO 5 folder is, Aria can't find the files. If I create an alias under Applications to point to the new JABB 3 location, Aria still can't find it.  Is there a way to move it?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.  Terrence

Hi Terrence,

Thanks for your post!  There are some GPO4 installation files that were not removed from your computer that are causing the ARIA Player to still look for GPO4.  To get rid of that error message you are seeing, follow these steps to cleanly uninstall GPO4:

  1. Close all open applications
  2. Download the ARIA_Uninstaller attachment here
  3. Extract the file to your desktop and double-click on it to start.  Mac users with OS X 10.8 or later may need to adjust their System Preferences if the font pack installer is blocked by GateKeeper.
  4. Choose Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 from the pop-up menu.
  5. You will be shown the list of the files to be removed. Take a minute to browse through the list in case you have put personal files in the GPO4 product folder(s) by mistake.
  6. Click Remove.
  7. Empty your trash and restart your computer.

Your JABB3 samples installed in their correct default location, but you can always move them after installation.  For instructions on how to do this properly, please see this article.

Thanks, this is excellent help.  And it worked....  uninstall app helped remove old hidden GPO4 files, so it no longer appears in Aria launch list.  Interestingly, GPO5 did not appear in the Uninstall options.  Why not?

Have not tried relocating the JABB3 samples yet, but will. Thanks for this tip.   Terrence

Hi Oded,

The link does appear to be working from this end, so I'm afraid this one might not work, but here is the link again just in case: ARIA Uninstaller. If that doesn't work, you may wish to try accessing that link from another browser!
