g'day from Australia.

I have just downloaded the trial version of Finale 25.

I have Windows 10

The download worked perfectly and the installation was okay.

However, when I try to run Finale, I get an error message that the 'Server is Busy'.

I have the options of

Switch to

Retry

or Cancel.

I am unable to cancel and have to go to the Task manager to stop Finale from running.

My Internet is working perfectly of course, and I didn't have any program running except for Finale when I had the 'Server is Busy' warning.

I hope some kind soul can assist me in resolving my problem. Thank you and hooroo for now.

I have the same problem, except this is not the Finale v25 demo but the full product which I just purchased/downloaded/installed today.  I similarly have complete Internet connectivity, am running no other programs, and start Finale v25 by clicking 'run as administrator'.  I had versions 2014 and 2014.5 on the same Windows 10 computer for the past year and neither of them had this problem  No other program has had this particular error message (I have never seen it before).

I am also peeved because MakeMusic dismantled the earlier 'submit a case' process which I used once or twice in years past - now it no longer exists on this website.  I hope that does NOT mean they no longer support their software!  - But that is what appears to be the case.

I have the same issue. I just bought version 25, installed on Windows 10 64-bit. Every time I try to run Finale, I get the "Server is busy dialog". The only way I could find to get out of the dialog is to kill the Finale task with Task Manager.

I created a support ticket yesterday... waiting to hear back.

We have seen this error occur occasionally when Finale conflicts with a device connected to your Windows computer (usually either printing or audio) upon trying to launch.

We have a knowledge base article that helps identify if there are any conflicting devices. You can find that article here.

I hope this helps!
