Finale 2014.5 running on MacBook Pro (and old one) with OS 10.8.5.

When viewing a piece on the screen and editing it, I would like the page numbers to appear as normal. This makes it easier for me to navigate around. However, when I print the piece I don't want page numbers to be printed out. More specifically, when I print to PDF, I want Acrobat to put in the page numbers. This is handy when I use Acrobat to combine different files into a single PDF file.

How do I keep page numbers on the screen but not have them show up when printing?

Thanks.

Using the text tool, highlight your page number handle and press shift + command + option "h"  OR right click it (control click) and uncheck "Show." This will grey out the page number making it still visible on your document, but it will not show in printing or PDF making. Hope that helps!

Thanks. That's exactly what I wanted.
