Is there an easy way to transfer templates and document styles from my PC (Windows 10 64-bit) to my MacBook Pro (10.11.6)? I'm running Finale 2011. I noticed templates/doc styles are saved as .mus files rather than .ftm files.

I copied the files into the appropriate folders. Then I opened them up and saved them as .mus instead. However, it misbehaves when I open the template or doc style. After I get past the file setup screen it quits.

Also, when I try to open up a file I created on my PC on my Mac, it opens but I can't play it back or enter notes. It says "Unhandled exception caught." It also says this when I try to start a document from template or doc style.

However, I can start a "Default Document" and enter notes just fine.

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Any ideas?

Did you do a fresh install of F 2011 on your Mac or is it an old copy and you have been updating the OS? What is the complete path to your templates?

I just reinstalled 2011 on mine. I wonder if our paths are the same.

I installed from the DVD. Yes, I've been updating the OS.

The templates (and document styles) are where they should be:
