I'm using a Midisport 1x1.   My midi output seems to work when I import from music created before 2014 (?).  But when I create a file it doesn't work at all.  And sometimes I have to "wake up" my midi by running another midi player - then the midi works.  Again, though, on with the older files.

I'll be checking in with tech support this week to see if they have anything new.

Thanks so much for your reply. I ditched the Akai and bought an Alesis Mini. Works fantastic. Hooked it up via USB and has been working great every time. About $99.00. From what I remember you do not need to install anything on your computer. The keys are much more responsive. A little bigger but still very portable. Fits in a laptop case
